Somehow, I’m not too sure how, but it would seem that four years has past since our little miracle baby joined our family. Where has that time gone? How has she gotten so big? How can she do all this stuff now? I don’t know, but I do know that I need another tissue….

Happy birthday baby girl, we love you to the moon and back a million times over xxx

The Public Breastfeeding Awareness Project

Breastfeeding is beautiful, natural, a gift for your little one and yourself, but most importantly breastfeeding is the basis of normal development, physical, mental, and emotional, for humans. Breastfeeding is hugely imporant to me; I breastfed my own beautiful daughter, I’m training to become a breastfeeding counsellor with Cuidiu, I started up a local breastfeeding mum to mum group, the list goes on and on, we’re all about the boobs in this house!

When I saw that the amazing photographer Leilani Rogers was running another photographic campaign this year to help normalise breastfeeding in public, and this time she was doing a shout out for other photographers to join her, I was emailing her straight away to let her know I was in.

So, what’s happening?

It’s all about breastfeeding in public, so that can be a park, supermarket, cafe, church, bus stop, anywhere really, and showing that it is perfectly normal and natural to do so anywhere that a little one asks to be fed.

I will be offering hugely discounted mini-sessions to all breastfedding mamas that opt in for a public session and agree to have their photographs shared through the project with Leilani, myself and other photographers who are taking part in the project. Each mini session will last 30 minutes, take place in any public location of your choice (the funkier the better, lets show off what our boobs can do!), and you will get an 8×10 print of your choice, all for the grand total of €25. They are for mamas and little ones of any age, from newborn upwards, there are no restrictions at all, let’s not forget the WHO recommend breastfeeding until 2 years and beyond.

The photographs from the project will be shared on facebook, blogs, Pinterest, and beyond during World Brestfeeding Week (august 1-7), by Leilani, and all of the involved photographers. What a great way to globally raise awareness of breastfeeding in general, and specifically breastfeeding in public.

The sessions are available in Kildare, Dublin, Galway, Mayo, and North Clare (small travel fees may apply for some areas within those counties).

How do I book a session?

To book your breastfeeding session, just pop me an email to with the subject “breastfeeding in public project”, let me know where you are, and we can get organising a date.

If you’d like to do a group booking, for example for a breastfeeding support group, just let me know and I’d be delighted to arrange that with you, oh, how exciting it would be to have a group of feeding mamas and little ones!

Hoping to get consent from group of breastfeeding friends. We’re all in the Bettystown area. Beautiful beach here…may be nice to get some beach shots! I’m in anyway!

Galway Newborn Photography – Sweet Peter

Oh, sweet Peter. really, I don’t have to say very much about this session, a picture really does tell a thousand words.

Galway Child Photographer – The Power Kids

Oh these cuties, the little Powers crew. So much fun playing with these little ones around their grandparents farm; who doesn’t love a bit of cattle calling on a sunny Spring day :)
